WalkingPad Silicone Oil Questions

Please read our FAQ for more information.

1. Why do I need silicone oil for my WalkingPad?

Silicone oil reduces friction between the walking belt and the platform, preventing wear and extending the life of your WalkingPad. It also makes for smoother operation.

2. How often should I lubricate my WalkingPad with silicone oil?

For normal use (2-3 times a week) it is recommended to lubricate every 3 months. For more intensive use (daily) you can do this every month.

3. How do I apply silicone oil to my WalkingPad?

Lift the treadmill slightly and apply a thin, even layer of silicone oil to the surface of the platform under the belt. Then run the WalkingPad at low speed for a few minutes to distribute the oil.

4. Can I use any kind of silicone oil for my WalkingPad?

Always use the recommended WalkingPad silicone oil. Other types of lubricants may damage the treadmill or be ineffective.

5. How do I know when my WalkingPad needs to be re-lubricated?

If the treadmill feels stiff, makes noise or does not run smoothly, this may be a sign that it is time to re-lubricate. Also check the manual regularly for specific maintenance tips.
